Create , Edit and Delete DNS Records in the Cloudflare Dashboard
- Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select an account and domain.
- Go to DNS > Records.
- Select Add Record.
- Choose a record type (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.).
- Complete the required fields, which vary per record type. Key fields include:
o Proxy status: For A, AAAA, and CNAME records, decide whether hostname traffic is proxied through Cloudflare.
o TTL (Time to Live): Controls how long each record is cached and how fast updates propagate.
o Comment and Tag: Optional fields for your reference.
- Select Save.
Edit DNS records in the dashboard:
- Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select an account and domain.
- Go to DNS > Records.
- On the specific record, select Edit.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Select Save.
Delete DNS records in the dashboard:
- Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select an account and domain.
- Go to DNS > Records.
- On the specific record, select Edit.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm by selecting Delete again.
